In January of 1999, Darren Levine and several of the organizing members of Krav Maga formed Krav Maga Worldwide Enterprises to help the Krav Maga Association of America, Inc. expand and promote Krav Maga in The United States and around the world. Continuing demand from law enforcement agents and civilians prompted Darren Levine and his top students to open the Krav Maga National Training Center, a 6000 square foot facility in west Los Angeles.
The center, which opened in February of 1997, was the first training facility of its kind in the world-incorporating a full time schedule of Krav Maga self defense, fighting and fitness classes. The Krav Maga National Training Centre became a training ground for civilians, law enforcement and military units.
